The battle news in Arakan on 31 July 2020
31 July 2020
On 31 July 2020, no major clashes broke out between the Myanmar Army and the Arakan Army, unlike the previous days. The war criminal invading Myanmar Army did not launch massive offensive assaults from the ground.
There was only a slight clash at the distance of (1.5) kilometers away from the northeast of Sha-Shay-Pyin village in Mrauk-U Township for a few minutes at 8:15 in the morning on 31 July 2020.
The dead body of U Tun Maung Sein, 61-year-old, killed by the Myanmar Army in Chein-Khar-Li village, Rathedaung Township in Arakan on 13 July 2020, was found by his family members in the toilet’s soil-pipe at 6 am on 31 July 2020.
The villagers in the Chein-Khar-Li were fleeing for fear of arrest and killings by the Myanmar Army. When they returned to their village (Chein-Khar-Li) during these days, they found the corpse of U Tun Maung Sein who was brutally killed and erased by the Myanmar Army. It was found after 18 days since he was killed. The war criminal Myanmar Army has been brazenly committing the war crimes targeting to kill innocent Arakanese people.
The government of Myanmar and its military have, joining together, been committing such sabotage acts and ethnic cleansing based on racial hatred across the Arakan.
The Myanmar Army, on the other hand, has deliberately planted land-mines on civilian roads and in the paddy fields threatening the lives of innocent civilians.
We strongly condemn the heinous acts committed by the Myanmar Army in blaming our organization and we have nothing to do with the casualties of innocent civilians.
