No.4/2020
April 1, 2020
At the current moment, peoples in all countries around the world are being seriously infected with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) which threatens continued survival of humanity and harms our living systems while facing global economic recession. Therefore, it is urged that the combating and prevention of the COVID-19 is the essential action for all countries and governments to be taken in this critical time.
Our Three Brotherhood Alliance will refrain from engaging in clashes with the Myanmar Army not to hinder the response planning in support of the prevention and combating activities of this global pandemic before no vaccine is currently available for the effective treatment of the COVID-19 disease. We are ready to actively cooperate and work with neighboring countries along with our territories and international medical organizations to accelerate the COVID-19 prevention and response planning.
The further spread of the COVID-19 threatens all human beings in disrespect of boundary, race, religious and political belief. Therefore, it is proved that all peoples have equal rights and our lives are also connected. A single country or leader however power it has would not be possible to fight against this pandemic which is threatening the whole humanity. For the time being, the voices of the world leaders that demand “global ceasefire” are rising.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have extended another period of a month-long unilateral ceasefire from April 1, 2020 till April 30, 2020 with the aim to build stability and security on the shared borders and to avoid public panic. In addition, we call for other revolutionary organizations across the world struggling for political equality and the right of national self-determination to declare global ceasefire in these challenging times.
Three Brotherhood Alliance
