Condemnation of Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun’s statement of lies in the Irrawaddy news
3rd January 2020
In an article written by Zin Linn Htett in the Irrawaddy, dated January 2, 2020 with the headline of “The TNLA says that the re-extension of ceasefire is not due to Chinese pressure”, the war criminal, colonial and racist extremist Burmese army’s Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun, in charge of the genocidal war criminal army’s Press and Publications Wing bluntly made untrue statements: “On the same day in Arakan State, they entered a battalion headquarters and fired artillery from a distance. So, if the statement had been in agreement with their actions, the steps taken would have brought more positive results for peace.”
On January 1, 2020, on the day of the third unilateral ceasefire extension by our Three Brotherhood Alliance, our Arakan Army made no short or long range artillery attack on any of the Burmese Army stations anywhere.
We strongly oppose Brigadier General Zaw Min Tun’s false, fabricated and fictitious accusations and statement on artillery attacks by any of our Three Brotherhood Alliance members.
